1970 CAMARO RS

Classic muscle goes modern

The LT4 is the most powerful production engine factory-engineered by Chevrolet Performance. That sort of power needs the support of serious muscle – like the classic muscle machine known as the 1970 Camaro RS.

Good for a whopping 650 horsepower, the 6.2L V-8 LT4 crate engine packed under the iconic hood of the ’70 Camaro RS delivers 650 lb-ft of torque. The LT4 also brings its own heritage to the vintage RS. Like the LT1 engine found in the new Camaro SS and Corvette Stingray, the LT4 is built on tried, tested, true Gen-V architecture. The LT4 in the ’70 Camaro is a wet-sump performance monster, but a dry-sump version is also available.

The LT4’s incredible amount of power is harnessed and enhanced by the T56 Super Magnum 6-speed manual transmission. A beefier version of the high-performance transmission from the production Camaro ZL1, the T56 is the versatile choice for classic hot rods and modern track champs alike.
