How It Works
Small motors inside the seat will generate vibration pulses on the left, right or both sides of the bottom of the driver seat cushion when prompted by select Driver Assistance
Examples of Driver Assistance Technologies That Activate the Safety Alert Seat
Here are some of the available features that can activate Safety Alert Seat. Please note your vehicle may not have one or more of these features.
- Rear Cross Traffic
Alert† and Rear Cross Traffic Braking — Pulses the left or right side of the seat to indicate the direction of approaching cross traffic when in REVERSE - Forward Collision
Alert† — Pulses both sides of the seat to warn of a possible collision with an object in front of the vehicle - Rear Park
Assist† — Pulses both sides of the seat to warn of a possible collision with an object behind the vehicle when in REVERSE
Note: The types of alerts available vary by vehicle model.
