About the Pandora In-Vehicle App

The Pandora In-Vehicle App allows you to simply enter a favorite artist, track, comedian or genre, and Pandora will create a personalized station that plays your favorite music and recommends more like it. The Pandora In-Vehicle App allows you to listen to stations you create using your Pandora account on the mobile app or computer.

 

The Pandora In-Vehicle App is available on compatible infotainment systems† and requires an eligible OnStar® plan.

Getting Started

To get started, download the Pandora In-Vehicle App by opening the APPS† icon or Play Store on your vehicle’s center display, depending on your model, and selecting PANDORA. Launch the app by tapping the PANDORA icon on your vehicle’s center display.

 

Once the app is open, accept Pandora’s Terms and Conditions to continue. Once you create an account or log in to an existing one, you’ll be taken to the app home screen.  

 

If you do not have an existing Pandora account, you must sign up for an account using your computer or mobile device.  

More Information

The Pandora In-Vehicle App will sync with your existing Pandora account if you have one. Some app functions are not available while the vehicle is in motion, but you can listen to music while driving.  

 

The app does not require you to download Pandora to your smartphone if you already have an existing Pandora account, though you will need to create stations on your phone or computer.

Screen Controls

From the home screen, you can select a station you would like to listen to by tapping it. 

  • THUMBS UP tells Pandora to play more music like the current song.
  • THUMBS DOWN tells Pandora to play less music like the current song.
  • SKIP lets you skip to the next song. 

For your security, please don’t include personal info such as phone number, address or credit card details.

What kind of content can I listen to through the Pandora In-Vehicle App?

Personalized stations are available. Other content types, such as podcasts and on demand songs, albums and playlists, are not supported.  

Why can’t I create radio stations through the Pandora In-Vehicle App?

The Pandora In-Vehicle App is designed as an extension of the Pandora experience, so you can take the stations you create on the go with your smartphone and at home with your computer with you in your vehicle.  

What kind of data connection can I use to connect to the Pandora In-Vehicle App?

You can use your vehicle’s available in-vehicle data connection to use the Pandora In-Vehicle App.
