"It's basically an old car on top of a new car," Sheridan said during this year's Holley LS Fest East in Bowling Green, Kentucky,
He had come to the event at Beech Bend Park from his home in Lake Worth, Florida, and shared with us the story of his classic C2.
The car is painted in Fawn Beige with a gray top, and the fuel-injected, 6.2L power plant makes 525 horsepower and 486 lb.-ft. of torque. The Corvette features a full Connect & Cruise Crate Powertrain System, with a SuperMatic 4L70-E automatic transmission backing the engine.
The classic styling remains, however, meaning the vehicle honors its heritage while utilizing some of the best in modern performance technology.
This week, we've made one of our favorite images from our shoot with the car into a Wallpaper Wednesday download.
This low-angle photo details all of the Corvette's classic beauty, but it still looks nimble – even standing still.
