So this Valentine's Day, here are a trio of our latest love interests from the Bowtie.

The L8T Crate Engine
It was love at first sight when we laid eyes upon this 6.6L beauty unveiled last fall. The L8T crate engine* is the largest-displacement power plant in the Chevrolet LT family, and as the heart of the 2023 Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD and 3500HD, it is built for work with lots of low-rpm torque. The engine also boasts direct fuel injection and a 10.8:1 compression ratio. High-strength components including a cast-iron block with cross-bolted, six-bolt main caps and a forged steel crankshaft help to ensure this engine will never break our heart. Rated at 401 horsepower and 464 lb.-ft. of torque, the L8T is available as a complete crate engine or a long block to fulfill your desires.

You never forget your first love and ours just gets better with time. This year alone, Corvette has already announced two big pieces of news this year which have given us heart eyes.
First, our hearts were set aflutter when the Corvette team unveiled the first-ever Corvette E-Ray. The car utilizes an electric all-wheel drive (eAWD) propulsion system in tandem with a 6.2L LT2 Small-Block V-8 engine. The result is 0-60 mph in 2.5 seconds. The 2024 E-Ray is designed for use in all weather conditions and comes in both removable roof coupe and hardtop convertible models. The E-Ray was unveiled 70 years to the day after the 1953 Corvette was introduced during Motorama in New York City and will be available in late 2023. With both an electric whine and a V-8 rumble, our love language never sounded so good.
The Corvette Z06 GT3.R race car and a variety of GM staff.
Corvette is also playing hard to catch with the unveiling of the Z06 GT3.R race car. The mid-engine racer serves as the successor to the C8.R and features a 5.5L DOHC flat-plane crank LT6 derived from the street version of the Z06. The race car is based on the roadgoing model with wide-ranging technology transfer between the two. The Z06 GT3.R though is designed to meet FIA GT3 technical regulations for global competition. That means it won't be street-legal.
It will, however, be the first race car offered by Chevrolet to both professional and customer teams. Corvette Racing will debut the car on-track in the GTD PRO class during the 2024 Rolex 24 At Daytona. We're already smitten with anticipation.

E-ROD Crate Engine Systems
Getting behind the wheel on the open road was how many of us started our love affair with cars, and thanks to Chevrolet Performance's E-ROD†lineup, we can now be enamored with crate engines on the highway. E-ROD crate engines have each been granted official California Air Resources Board (CARB) E.O. numbers, making them legal for installation and cruising in 1995 and earlier vehicles in all 50 states. Chevrolet Performance currently offers 6.2L LS3, LT1 and supercharged LT4 E-ROD options, and all include emissions equipment.
What's more, each engine can be selected as part of a Connect & Cruise Crate Powertrain System, designed to take the guesswork out of matching the right crate engine* and transmission combination. In fact, in our 1957 Cadillac called "Rosie," the LT4 E-ROD is paired with a SuperMatic 10L90-E 10-speed automatic. We only pick out the best for her.
